ABOUT S MILLIN & ASSOCIATES

S Millin & Associates Attorneys was founded on 7 October 2018 by Stephan Millin. His legal career began during January 2015 when he entered into a contract of articles with a well-known law firm situated in Cape Town. During this time, he obtained valuable skills and experience in a variety of fields of law including civil litigation, commercial law and attended to many correspondent matters. Stephan duly finished his articles and in 2016 enrolled at the Cape Town School for Legal Practice presented by the Law Society of South Africa in partnership with the University of Cape Town. He completed this course with distinction and won the award, as "managing partner", for best "firm" during the famous Moot Court.
Continuing on from this, Stephan wrote the attorneys admission exam in one sitting and passed all of the papers and was subsequently admitted as an attorney in December 2016. In 2017 he took a break from practice to further pursue his studies by studying towards and obtaining the LLM degree at the University of Stellenbosch. However, Stephan could not stay away from practice, and accepted a position as an attorney to head up a branch office for Gauteng based attorneys in Cape Town during 2018. It was during this time that he decided to take the step and establish his own practice, S Millin & Associates Attorneys.
The practices' core values are based on humility, prudence, honesty, fairness and excellence. It is with this core values in mind that the practice aims to provide flawless, specifically tailored quality legal services to each and every client.

Stephan was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2016.
Stephan holds the following qualifications:
1. BA (Humanities) degree (majoring in psychology) conferred by the University of Stellenbosch in 2009.
2. LLB degree conferred by the University of Stellenbosch in 2014.
3. Postgraduate Diploma in Law in Legal Practice conferred by the University of Cape Town in 2016 (completed with distinction);
4. LLM degree conferred by the University of Stellenbosch in 2019.
He has also successfully completed a course in Practice Management during 2019, presented by the Legal Practice Council and has attended various seminars and workshops presented by the Law Society of South Africa. Stephan has a keen interest in the law of trusts, commercial law and drafting of contracts.
